I am the Digital Librarian for a round 4 TAACCCT grant project called Knowledge to Work (K2W) at Lord Fairfax Community College in Virginia (USA). K2W is a direct-assessment competency-based education program using OER as learning materials wherever possible, and free or low-cost learning materials where relevant OER cannot be located. I assist faculty members with locating digital learning materials tied to the competencies they are teaching. We have also created a website at HigherEd.org that makes the competency frameworks used in the K2W programs, as well as learning resources tied to those competencies, available to all learners for free.
